In the last few years, we have witnessed an increase in the social awareness and responsibility of businesses in our country towards the activities of non-profit organisations. It is becoming increasingly important for businesses to act responsibly towards their environment, since their constituents (customers, workers, providers, etc.) understand that the values of enterprise exist beyond mere economic considerations, and must be informed by the communities in which they operate.
From Arrels, we offer businesses the possibility of collaboration on different projects, in order to enable a joint social action and creating synergies that optimise efforts to bring about the results we strive for: aiming to transform the lives of homeless people, collaborating in the integral development of people in situations of social exclusion.

“Social action entails the adoption of an ethical dimension in business activity” Alfred Vernis Professor, Business Policy Department, ESADE.
Social action entails the adoption of an ethical dimension in business activity. In a similar way that citizens work and pay taxes, and also undertake other activities that take time and money to contribute to the community, business have a great capacity to go beyond their main purpose.
“Companies must be understood as the sum of individual efforts” Joan Rigol
President of the Parliament of Catalonia (1999-2003)
Certainly, companies are institutions governed by the laws of the market and, for that reason, one could think that these are organisations completely oriented to profit making. Conversely, companies must be understood as the sum of individual efforts that conform to them, as the narrative of the interpersonal relations that occur in them.
