“I have discovered the problem of homelessness” Pilar Carazo Library Coordinator
I knew for sure that when I had retired I would be volunteering. I believe that retirement has to be as active as possible, and I was fortunate that a friend who is a volunteer in Arrels told me she needed a person to work in the library, and this is how it all started.
I have always liked dealing with paperwork and having worked in the Department of Social Welfare, I am well acquainted with issues related with social services. In Arrels, though, I have discovered the problem of homelessness, with a bulk of information contained in the documents we keep in the organisation’s library, and other documents that we will be introducing progressively.
