The number of homeless people that we help at Arrels has been increasing recently. Back in 2019, we helped 2,592 people; 10% more than in 2018. The reason? In the city of Barcelona, the numbers go up every year: around 1,200 people are still sleeping rough. Last year, more than a thousand people visited our venues at least once and 2,200 came in for a shower or to get some sort of support. Our street outreach team visited 530 homeless people, and of those we have been able to offer accommodation to 240. Below, you can see our 2019 figures in full and follow how we manage, and how we will keep going every day in order to eradicate homelessness.
