Provide financial support in specific projects
Basic services at the open center
Help us provide shower facilities, wardrobe and checkroom services, and other basic amenities to the more than 2,700 people without a home whom we guide and assist each year at our open center.

Appropriate and stable housing
Enable people living on the streets to access suitable and stable housing by covering rent and/or utility costs.
Jose Luis has already got into a home and that’s a key part of his recovery.
“From being on the streets to being here, and being able to close the door, to close my eyes throughout the night, to be calm… there’s a huge difference. People tell me:
‘You look better than before’”.
Flat refurbishments
Contribute to the renovation of flats for people without a home and/or help furnish them with furniture and appliances. At Arrels, we manage 129 flats, most of which come from legacies, inheritances, and donations.
Omar explains:
“Moving into a flat means having a place to start over, where I can grow. For me, it’s pure joy; it¡s half a life”.
Social and health support for vulnerable people
Support the Arrels’ Pere Barnés home, a residential complex team for people with serious physical and cognitive health vulnerabilities caused by living on the streets. How? You can help fund meals, health and social care or the therapeutic and recreational activities organized for a group of around forty residents.

A care space for women
Contribute to the funding of the services and activities we offer to a group of women who are living or have lived on the streets, through a weekly space exclusively for them, where they have lunch together, share experiences, and use the basic services of our open center with greater privacy and safety.

Occupational workshop: regaining a sense of purpose
Provide or fund the materials we use daily in our workshop, a welcoming space for people who are living or have lived on the streets. Through the creation of handcrafted products, participants spend their time meaningfully, regain social and personal skills, and reconnect with a sense of usefulness.

Safe nights at Zero Flat
Help us ensure that ten people can stay for a week at Zero Flat, a night resource for individuals who have been living on the streets for a long time and do not fit into any other available services in the city.
In this flat, they find a safe and welcoming space to spend the night, tailored to their needs.
Take part in corporate volunteering
Activity at Arrels’ workshop
Collaborate in the creation of handcrafted products at Arrels’ workshop, guided by people who are living or have lived on the streets.

- Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours

Awareness walk through Ciutat Vella
Walk through the streets of Ciutat Vella guided by a person who has experienced homelessness, who will share their perspective and help you understand the reality of living on the streets.
- Participants: up to 20 people
- Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours
- Language: Catalan, Spanish, or English

Promote micro-donations in your company
Do you know about Teaming? It is a platform that allows your company to promote micro-donations to support social causes.
Create your own group in support of Arrels and encourage your employees to join Teaming! Each Teamer who joins your group will donate €1 per month, which will help provide support and useful services to vulnerable people we accompany at Arrels.
Be a voice for people experiencing homelessness
Support Arrels by spreading our campaigns and projects within your community to raise awareness about the reality of homelessness.
We offer a few ideas: display a banner on your website; make a post on social media; provide space to publish an ad in your magazine or newsletter; or set up an area in your company or establishment where we can place flyers or posters from our solidarity campaigns. Arrels will provide all the necessary materials!
Offer space to sell our products
At the Arrels workshop, handcrafted products are made throughout the year by people who live or have lived on the street. Sant Jordi roses, ceramic mugs, notebooks, cardholders, candles, Advent calendars… Every item is unique and original, just like the people who create them.
For Christmas, Sant Jordi, or during a corporate event, you can offer us a space to set up a stand and help spread the word about our work through the sale of products that shout #nobodysleepingonthestreet.
Raise awareness about homelessness within your team
One of Arrels’ missions, in addition to supporting vulnerable people, is to inform and raise public awareness about the issue of homelessness and to break down prejudices, together with volunteers from the organization and people who have experienced life on the street.
Throughout the year, we offer talks at schools, organizations, and companies, both in person and online.
